The Korean war started on June 25, 1950 and since an armistice was never signed, it is still officially going on. Therefore, anyone over the age of 18 has been part of the war years.

A cease fire was signed on July 27, 1953 and signaled the end of most of the hostilities. To have served in the period of the majority of the hostilities (1950 - 1953) someone would need to be about 71 years old or older.

It lasted from 1950-1953. You would have to be at least 74 now to have been 18 back in 1950, and eligible for the draft.
