Offer him a sippy cup instead at night. It worked really good for us. We started a ritual of turning out all the lights and offering the sippy along with a bear to hold, then we pet on him till he was relaxed. We also paid extra attention to him and cuddled him lots before he went to bed, the extra cuddle time will make him forget about the bottle because it is just an emotional attatchment need for security. Just make him feel extra secure with that extra attention. After a couple nights with the sippy cup he didn't need it anymore. The main thing is that you have to take it away and never give in and give it back. You may have a few rough nights but thats it.

start using sippy cups during the day and bottle at night then get rid of bottle all together, that way the baby will get use to the sippy cup and will not want the bottle it may take a month or two but hang in there they will learn.

Start with nap time...that's waht I am doing right now. Once he realizes he's done with it at nap time, I'll move to the bed time bottle. I just tell him his bottle is all gone, and he hasn't fought me yet. I have also let him have a cup at that time. It's going pretty smooth so far! Good luck!(I should also add that he is rocked to sleep!)

Make sure that during the day you are giving him a sippy cup or at least offering it, then just take it away cold turkey. It will be hard to hear him cry but in 2-4 nights he will give up.

Fill the bottle with water, instead of milk... then after your baby has had that for a few nights, like maybe a week... replace the bottle altogether, with a pacifier.

if your child has a regular routine great!just offer him a sippy cup before bed,and in a few nights it should become your regular routine-it is harder for us than it is 4 them-be prepared for some crying but remember you are doing it to prevent tooth decay-which is really painful-goodluck-try music or a blanki
