I am a waitress and on my feet at least 8 hours a day.I am 46 years old ,but I have never had this problem until now.

I hate to say this - but as we get older, our bodies start to do strange things. And just because you've never had this before doesn't mean anything. Have you got really good, comfortable shoes that also give you good support - and are you walking on a cement floor all day. That's a killer. I can no longer wear high heels as they hurt my feet so bad - yet when I was younger I could walk miles in them. I'm sorry that you have this problem, as it is very painful.

No definitive answer, first check out your shoes for proper support. As we age the circulation slows down and arteries clog as well, maybe try some type of stretching exercises or swimming. If your weight is up, that's another reason, but it could be several things.

At 46, females start showing of menopause. One of the things that happens, is depletion of your calcium in your bones. You need to see your gynecologist asap and see if you need to begin taking something.

Maybe it's your shoes. You might need new ones or a different kind.

consult an orthopedics. u may have arthritis
