Something to think about. Yes I think it is a very pretty name. But studies show that children that are given odd, strange, different or even hard to spell names have a hard time growing up with other children when dealing with the name issue. Children can be very cruel. Kids want to fit in and be accepted.
Remember what it was like when you were a child. The last thing you wanted to do in grade school was to be different. Studies show that kids have an easier time when their name is easy to say and spell and does not make them different.
As an adult, I'm not even sure I am pronouncing it the same way you are but I really do like it. Sounds like your taking alot of time and care in picking out your child's name. I think that is great. So I just thought I would share this info with you.
Would it be possible to use it as a middle name and maybe a shorter or more easily understood name as the first, then when the child gets older she could go by her middle name is she likes it.
Just a thought

I'm not saying you should name the baby Mary or Sally but you will be doing this child a huge injustice buy givign her a name that is hard to spell and even harder to pronounce. Future Employers won't even call her if they can't say her name.

Even giving little girls typical boys names is almost mean. I watched a little girl today (Logan) get disqualitified at a swim meet because they had but her in a boys event. She (age:5) was heart broken.

I named my son Alek and while I love his name, hate it for him. He's come to terms that he'll always be called Alex.

Here's an article that you may want to read:

I vote for using one of the names as a middle name that you could abbreviate as you wish. Santeaja is my favorite.

Please don't think that I'm a racist. For the record I'm not. I just wanted to give you this information because I'd read this story some time ago, and thought you may want to consider it. Of course, you will do what you believe is best. Peace to you. Congratulations on your soon-to-be baby!
