Many breeds stink when wet. Use a good anti-bacterial DOG shampoo. Please don't use people shampoo, it is very drying to their skin. Lather, rinse & repeat. Blow dry your dog, use the coolest setting, if you can't take the temperture on the back of your hand it is too hot.. Use a PET cologne when he is dry.

My dog used to stink to high heaven after giving her a bath I started using deodarizing (sp?) dog shampoo I got it at Wal-Mart I think or a pet store, it works great and she smells nice for a long time it also has the antibacterial stuff in it.

Nothing smell quite as strong as a wet dog! Even when you give a bath. Why is that?!?! Kind of defeats the purpose.
