It seems like my body is making me sleep 12 hours...if I go to bed at 11pm I wake up at 11 am
if I got to bed at 4 am I wake up at 4 pm (and I’ve always been a night owl, I have trouble falling to sleep)
I never have any energy...and I go though spurts where I can’t get enough to eat and spurts where the sight of food makes me want to gag.....and ideas?

this is really starting to put a void between me and my family

and I really don’t have the money or insurance to go to a Dr. with this problem

If you are living healthly......no drugs, no alcohol and no eating disorders then this may be a your body letting you know there is something wrong, if you do not have health insurance look on google for free health clinics in you area or see if a doctor office takes payments...........because if you do not have the issues I listed then you might have something that needs to be checked the sooner the better!!! Or you may be getting to much sleep, if you go to bed set your alarm clock for 8 hours later and get up, take a shower, eat breakfast and start your day!!! Hope this helps!!

I get something along those lines from time to time. What works best for me is forcing myself up much earlier (say after 4-5 hours of sleep) and then making sure to be as active as possible while awake (I also tend to go on an almost exclusively fruit diet during this time, but this may just be personal preference - I like fruit in general).

After 2-3 days (which admittedly can get a tad grueling at times) of this, I tend to get back to my usual, cheery, energetic 8-hour-a-night self...

I have the same problem.I can't seem to sleep at all,like I will try to go to sleep then I will not.Like I will go to sleep at nine and never go to sleep till three.Don't worry,just stay away from caffienes,pray,and don't eat three hours before sleeping.

If you don't go to the doctor, it's unlikely that you'll find out what's wrong.

If you're worried that you have a preexisting condition, get some insurance first, then go see a doctor so they have to cover whatever it is.

I would recommend that you check out www.holistic-online.com.They have stress management tips. You should consider exercising, eating right, vitamins { a, b, or e}. I need you to also try to pray. it helps me alot. playing an instrument or writing a poetry. get this book also: your best life now by joel osteen. try to keep yourself busy.

you're suffering from depression. either see a doc and get some antidepressants or force yourself to change your lifestyle. find a hobby, join a group or something to get involed in that will get you out of the house and make you feel like you're contributing to something.
