My friend called and said she had a hangover about 4 hours ago. I'm supposed to call her back later... so we can go see a movie. But I don't know how long I should wait. Any ideas? I've really never had one...

She is 28 and she's a heavyset lady... if that makes any difference... I don't know how much she had. I don't think it was like alcohol-poisoning, passed out drunk. But more like... bloodshot eyes and severe headache drunk. She also said she couldn't hold down food. (That was 4 hours ago.)

Depends on what she drank. All she needs to do is take a couple of aspirin, drink lots of water and screw her brains out. Always works but I'm not sure about the screwing part. It was just a quick thought. She also needs to eat. Go see a movie get some food before hand and she'll be ok. Also the coolness in the theater will help her.

Geeze, look at my last 10 questions. Im hangover princess. A hangover lasts from 4 hours after you stop drinking all the way to 24 hours. tell her to dress comfortable, eat alot of starchy junk, and drink a lot of water. move slow.

Everyone is different when it comes to hangovers. Tell your friend that she should drink a lot of water before going to bed after a night out drinking,That helps prevent hangovers. But really, drinking moderatly is the best thing if you want to drink.

About twenty four hours.
Drinking milk, after drinking, helps to prevent them.
I have also heard taking aspirin, when finished drinking is another alternative, to stop hangovers but I haven't tried this one.
I sympathize
Hope

My shortest hangover lasted a half day, and my longest almost 2 days, so it depends on how much you drank, what you drank, and basically how drunk she was. Nevertheless, hangovers typically last one day.

Based on my experience, it usually takes me 1 whole day to recover. It depends on the quantity your friend consumed the night before. Sleep, lots of water and eating usually does the body good. I hope this helps.

Don't go.

Let your friend see what the effects of overindulgence of alcohol does to you.

At least this time it's a hangover and a missed movie...at least it wasnt' a car full of people she hit to learn.

everyone deals with hangovers differently, i can sleep all day with one but I know others that can get up and go after a night of drinking, if she doesn't want to go out then go without her!
