I feel they are serving their country and getting an education at the same time. A good combo. As I take it you are a woman, you are more of an asset in MANY ways. Women don't kill families and rape. I am all for the ARMY! I just wish this stupid war would end, because as usual we just rushed in without researching (women are good at this)the culture and disrespected the people to my horror as i watch the news I could go on and on GOD BLESS our TROOPS! Just like we didn't research jungle warfare in the Vietnam Take care and God bless you

Uh, they're people, similar to anyone else. It really depends on the individual. Having been in the army, I've met some people that I liked, and some I didn't like. Some that were good, and some that were evil, and some that were basicly stupid, and heartless, and had no place in the miltary. That's just how life is. Anywhere you go, you can't judge people simply becuase of their job.

I think they re ver brave to be in the Army at all. My husband was in the Army and they yell at you all the time (thinking that the enemy will do worse)

You have to march and learn to salute! i could never do that.

Oh and all those people over seas? I'd get my tail out of their while I still had one left.
I'd rather be a live chicken than a dead duck!

But my hat's off to all those who can take it. They are very brave and I am proud of each and every one.

Why not asked " How do you feel about people in the military service"?
Alot I feel sorry for due to wanting a good education to have a high paying job, only to go out east and make it where everybody can just get along. Do you remember the song sung by WAR called " why cant we be friends", this is a song all countries should listen to. United States always have and will run to everybody elses cries when it comes down to a war, but dont seem to me, many other countries want to help us out. ( FRANCE) but let them bring over their jobs and have americans work for them is another story.Just like americans complain about job loss of american jobs going to mexico,

I have always respected the military--any branch.
Enlisted men put their lives on the line for us and hold up to their commitments even though some of them may not approve of the reason for military action. It's the brass I don't care as much for, especially if they are like Rumsfield.
