dating a guy for about going on 4 months everything was great well i kept pressuring him to say i love u. well the other day i asked him about it and he told me if i dont stop then i will loose him. ever since that day things of change even his attitude towards me. i feel like it is my fault and i cry all the time about it. he also asked me if i am looking for a long term relationship and said i never had one he said i have had many. i think he is very afraid of commitment. i want to be with him. how can i be with him without even making him feel incomfrontable? and how do i know he wants to be with me i have not seen him in over a week i think he is mad at me for using those word can it be possibe? please help!!!!

GIVE HIM SOME TIME. ATLEAST HE DIDN'T JUST TELL YOU HE LOVED YOU BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR. HE WAS HONEST AND YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THAT. LET THINGS FLOW AT THEIR OWN PACE. THE FIRST TIME I SAID 'I LOVE YOU' TO MY FIANCE , I DID IT QUIETLY BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW HOW HE FELT AND ITHOUGHT HE DIDN'T HEAR ME, BUT IT TURNS OUT HE DID. AT THE TIME HE DIDN'T REPLY EXCEPT TO JUST KISS ME. A MONTH OR SO LATER HE CONFESSED HE DID HEAR WHAT I SAID, BUT HE DIDN'T WANT TO SAY IT BACK UNTIL HE WAS SURE THAT IS WHAT HE WAS HONESTLY FEELING. WHEN HE FINALLY DID TELL ME IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WORDS TO ME BECAUSE I KNEW IT WAS WHAT HE TRULY FELT FROM HIS HEART AND NOT BECAUSE HE WAS FEELING PRESSURED INTO SAYING IT. JUST RELAX AND TAKE IT SLOW. I DON'T THINK HE IS MAD AT BEING LOVED BY SOMEONE ELSE, I THINK HE'S JUST FEELING AWKWARD BECAUSE HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE ALL THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE. Well if you are very serious about this guy then move thing at his pace and stop pressuring him to say something that could make you loose him. You might want to even try confronting him and say something like I don't have to know you love me but i really want to be with so i will wait for you to say that and when you do i will be very happy. I am not going to pressure you anymore so will you forgive me. Good Luck

Well, if you're looking for a long term relationship, tell him that. If he's afraid of commitment (which seems likely), tell him those words are simply for reassurance that the relationship is going somewhere, and that there is a chance of you two having a future together. Give him a little time, though, some guys have trouble with this sort of thing.
