As a child I was adopted. I know my fathers name, address and phone number. The question is, (I am now 37) should I have the guts to call him? I would really like to get to know him. I do live on the other side of the earth though...

Yes, you should call him. If he shoots you down, well at least you tried. For all you know, he may really be wanting to hear from you too! Either way, you will have peace of mind about the situation if you just go ahead, bite the bullet and call him. It might just turn out to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Good luck!

Your both are older and are different people and this would also help you to know if you have any brothers or sisters or even why you were adopted.

You should call him and see his reaction. He may be looking for you too or may be interested in knowing you. Give him a chance.

You probably need to call him. Be as prepared as you can be, if he doesn't want a relationship. If you don't call, you will always wonder. Do you have his email? If not, can you get it,
