Fruits and fresh vegetables are best: There is less chance of overdosing on a particular vitamin or mineral that way. But if you need to recover from a vitamin deficiency quickly (such as after having been ill), then pills or capsules are good.

I hear it is better to get nutrients from food, your body absorbs more of them that way, taking the pills just makes your pee expensive meaning you pee most the nutrients from pills right back out before they can absorb

Eating healthy foods works wonders, but adding live acidophilus, (usually in the health food section), really helps. It was recommended by my doctor, and it really helps.
