When a guy compliments you, what do you say?

This guy I havent seen in months & talked to in years, suddenly messaged me on myspace, proclaiming that i was beautiful, and that hes habored special feelings for me for all these years. He's been calling me now lately & has been telling me how pretty i am & such; but i am so not used to this kind of flattery from boys. I did have a boyfriend once but he just used cute & other trifle compliments. SO anyways when this boy told me ONLINE that i was pretty, i dunno how but i found that i could say thank you back to him. But when i'm on the phone with him, & he just says that, i get all dim-witted & girly! I have no clue what to say & when i even think of saying thank you i feel that im egotistical. & so i dont say anything at all and just GIGGLE. ALOT.
& then afterwards im so embarrased, i feel like i have to apologize for my idiocricy. what do i doo???

"aww thank you, your so sweet" I am not used to comments like that and my boyfriend says them all the time..so I either say that or I give him a compliment back. Say whatever comes to mind, or teasingly say "oh stop it..." and laugh...it lets him know you like the compliments but at the same time you dont have to worry about what to do next...let it flow...the more he says it the more you will get used to it and things will come easy on what to say back...no stress hun!!

That's fine, you don't have to say thank you every time, especially if he compliments you all the time. Don't be embarrassed, thank him a few times and just keep doing what you're doing.

Just say thank you. Just like you would if anyone else complimented you on anything.

say: "thanks, you're not too bad looking either" it's a thank you and its funny. so you get a bush and a laugh!! see there's no way to lose. it works for me all the time.
