ok.

a couple weeks ago my cat got this infection.
got a big lump of puss on his back. he bit it open so it was a big gash on his back.
we took him to the vet they gave him anesthesia, stiched him up and then gave him a cone that he had to wear for eleven days.

so we take him to the vet after 11 days and they take his stiches out and take off the cone.

now thats hes back at home WITHOUT the cone and everything is done, he has a horrible sense of balance and hes peeing and craping all over the house( bear in mind he has been potty trained since he was a little kitten, now he is 2 years old).

can someone tell me whats wrong. and why hes doing all this.

No where in your question do see where you gave the cat any antibiotics for this infection. But I would hope the vet. would have better sense. Your cat is very young and for the most part healthy, when they start doing things outside the litter box it's because they are ill or upset with you. Should make another trip to the vet. to make sure he's not still ill.

Take him back to the vet to be sure, or at least call.

Balance problem: Could be he is just recovering and you should make him rest. Keep him in a space where he won't run or jump.

Peing all over the house: That is usualy a pet's way to tell you he is mad. Stitches + Cone + Anesthesia = Unhappy cat!
Give him plenty of love and attention, he'll forgive you!

Could be, when he bit the lump open some of the infection entered his bloodstream; you might want to take him back to the vet for an evaluation.

Have you talked to the vet about this. My cat did this and he had diabetes. Check with your vet. There is a blood test that will tell. Something is defiantly wrong.

One Major Question to ask: Was he doing this while he had the cone, or is this new since he came home?

Maybe your cat's infection wasn't clean before the stiched it.

Please find another vet and get another opinion. There is something serious going on. If the cat is important to you get another vet opinion. An abscess shouldn't do that
