A rhetorical question, indeed.
Let me relate a sad story. A colleague was strickened with terminal cancer. He humbly accepted a drink of water and also a simple prayer for him. There was a very positive physical reaction. The extreme pain he experienced had lessened as he relaxed his body and quietly laid back on the hospital bed. Other friends also visited and prayed for him. He was converted before he passed on.
The deathbed experience is when one will definitely know the answer.

I try not to make Him feel bad about these things anymore. I'm sure you remember that time he told Joshua to stop the sun from going around the earth, right? Well, I innocently told Yahweh, "Hellooo ...Mr. God. It's the other way around."
After that it was plagues & frogs for me for months. So .. now I just let Him think He knows everything.
(Oh, and don't even THINK about bringing up M-theory or quantum physics. You could get smitten big-time.)

Hmm...let's see about that.
1) I can communicate clearly with people. Point for EP
2) I understand that the Earth goes around the sun. Point for EP.
3) When I create things (software programs, toy robots, etc) I don't blame them for my mistakes. Point for EP.
Of course, God put a world of hurt on everyone, pretended to be his own son, tricked people into killing his son, and has made them feel guilty for it for over 1,900 years. He's got me there.
