if you complain that you have to nag him, that he doesn't pay enough attention to you, that he doesn't listen to you, etc etc
Then why not just divorce him? I mean you both would probably be happier, wouldn't you?

That's not always true. People don't always get along especially after they've lived together for so long. PLUS the more emotions that are involved can lead to more arguing. Many are familiar with the saying: You hurt the ones you love the most. Yes, wives and husbands do get on each others last nerve. Both complain and neither pay as much attention as the other would like. You have to compromise to maintain a working relationship. Wives, you can hold off on throwing all the problems of the house, him, kids, job, etc on to your husbands. Husbands, you can surely miss your boys playing around whether it be baseball, football or whatever balls you're into and let your wife get some things off her chest- good or bad.

Well divorce shouldn't be something you should just hop into. Those are things a couple can work and fix to make a stronger marriage. Also if you factor in time, effort, and possibly children something that meager should be attempted to fix first rather than run to file the paperwork. If more couples would work on their problems as opposed to immediately running out and getting a divorce we would probably have less divorce.

I agree. But divorce is not that simple. There are so many things to consider and it has to be dealt with on a case to case basis. Some women stay in an unhappy marriage for the sake of the children. I know that is not a good reason to put up with someone who does not love nor respect you anymore, but we have seen a great number of women in that situation. Other women are reluctant to get out of their marriages because their husbands are threatening them. The threats range from violent attacks on the unsuspecting wife to threats of killing her and their children. Again, you might say this is out of the ordinary, but we have seen that happen time and time again. Then, there are those women who are afraid to leave because they have nowhere to go and no income to speak about.

Unfortunately marriage can be hard work. Communication is so important before it is too late.

Then there would be no more humanity. Marriage has to be given time to work.
