My new kitten, Mindy, is very playful and loves playing with her toys. But the problem is she tries to play with the other cats. 1 of my cats just licks her like shes the mom. the other two hiss and growl at her. Is there anyway I could get the 2 to b nice to her or at least get them to stop hissing or growling?

Give them time. Eventually they'll either get along or just ignore each other. The last time I had a new kitten w/other cats it took a couple of weeks for the 3 oldest to accept the new one.... Just don't force the newbie on the older ones... they'll come around, be patient.

I'm having a similar problem right now. We took in a 2 month old kitten last weekend. Our first cat, General, is a huge wuss and is kind of afraid of the kitten. He hissed for a while after they were introduced, but isn't really bothered by him now. He seems a little afraid that the kitten isn't afraid of HIM. He just sniffs the kitten and keeps a buffer zone for himself. Our second cat, Myrtle, dominated General when she moved in. Now she seems to be handling the kitten worse than when she moved in because it's her territory. It's really sad because the kitten goes over to her and meows for attention and she growls at him. He just wants a mother! So, for now, we're not leaving the kitten alone with her and I assume she'll eventually get used to him.

Well I had an old cat and we had her fixed. Then we got another cat and we didn't get her fixed. when I got a new kitten the older one hated her and the other is great friends with her. Maybe its motherly instincts or something(licking her and playing with her). Also sometimes it will take time.

it won't happen immediatly that they will get used to Mindy. After a week or so they will be friendly, or somewhat close to it, and will be used to eachother. when i got a cat when i already had a cat the older one hissed at the younger. after a while though he got used to another cat and was friendly with him.

Give the older cats time.

Remember, they will feel that the new kitten is a stranger invading thier turf.

Just make sure they don't hurt the new kit.

Instinct tells them how to act.

its not uncommon for a new comber to the family be unliked by the others, it just takes time and they will get use to them. my male ran away one day and was gone for a week when he came back my female hated him ,would hiss and such at him, also when i first got him ,she did the same thing for about a week then started to get along with him little by little

you don't say how old these 2 are, if they are very young they may be jealous, just give them extra attention, and don't forget the other one. sometimes feeding them first helps, it did for me. good luck.
