Dont try to get her to feel sorry for you or anything. Ignore her and make yourself look like you have other options, even if you don't. Most of all, work on your self-esteem. Confidence and personality are everything; they're even more important than looks. Take it from a guy who is not that hot-looking, yet, is dating three different chicks at the same time and still getting phone numbers left and right just to satisfy my ego. I used to be really shy when I was a kid bro, and I got tired of seeing other uglier dudes getting all the babes. One day I started walking and acting like I owned the world and I had the looks of Brad Pitt and Di Caprio combined. The result? I started getting more tail than a public tolilette lol lol. Dude, I can relate to your frustration but there's hope. And lastly, dont listen to those loosers who tell you to be "friends" first; that's B.S. you let her know right away that you dig her for your girlfriend. Dont let her talk about her ex-boyfriend or other friends that she's got and dont let her say that she likes you "As a friend." The minute she says that, you are to run for the hills and hook up with another chick, and this one better be hotter than the first one. Good luck dude, let me know how you make out. Remember, Walk, talk and act like you own the world and the next time she calls you, you tell her that you're busy and that you'll call her back when you can, she then is gonna know that you're in demand and she's gonna want you. you got me? you have known her for a couple of months. have you asked her on a date yet. if you have dated her. go out on some regular dates and then ask her if she will be yr girlfriend or in a relationship. take it slow because you dont want to push her to fast

Well. You are way ahead of the game in that you actually told her you like her. This is the sort of thing a man does (as opposed to what a boy does).
The next step should be obvious. Tell her you want to be boyfriend and girlfriend. "I like you _____". "I want you to be my girlfriend."
That will get you what you want.
