Can somebody suggest a hair product that provides sun protection? I have thick, curly hair that's not taking the summer rays so well. I'm willing to spend some money. And home remedies always welcome.

Redken offers a few sun protection products. Go on line and find the nearest Redken distributor or ask your stylist.
Wearing a hat is also recommended, specially is you go to the beach like I do. Remember to condition regularly and rinse with cool water, not hot, since it strips your natural oils. By the way, the sun in the enemy of your hair colour, along with the pool, and the sea. Stay covered and stay away from them if you colour your hair.

Actually if you are sunning and swimming and things of that nature just put an ample amount of regular conditioner in your hair prior to going out in the sun. It protects against the rays and acts as a barrier to the chlorine in the pool. You can also use a good clarifying shampoo about once a week to strip chlorine and styling products. If you are just talking about in general to avoid daily damage from the sun use the Redken products, they are amazing.

Best bet is a hat... always. Short of that there are some speciality lines in several good brands---Pantene, Paul Mitchell and others that are designed to provide UV protection and help condition after exposure to sun, saltwater or chlorine.
