The reason you feel bad about what you have done is because you have a conscious. You know its wrong that is why you have the feelings that you do. Also a lot of what your parents have taught you, may it be mother, father or others care taker is coming to mind. Ex. Sally sue is no good because..... Believe it or not these things come to mind not during the act but after the fact. Not all the time but in most cases. Hope that helps some.

Maybe cause you have a conscience?
But does it work every time? I find that my conscience is selective.
I don't feel nearly as bad if I do something nasty to a bad person. But suppose I only thought they were nasty but they really weren't, then my conscience wouldn't work as well based on my own misknowledge.
I guess that's where religion and racism come in. If I can think that my religion or race is supperior to someone else's then I can more easily do bad things.
But perhaps your conscience is of a purer kind than mine.

conscience prick everytime u do something wrong. some ppl know how to ignore it / kill it and live on this earth...but there are few ppl who might kill it for their own selfish needs but cant IGNORE it!! thats y u feel bad.
its a god's way of making u realize ur mistakes!!
if u feel bad and u realize u did bad...u are still a human with a soul and heart inside u :)

because there are objective moral values. some things are really wrong despite what we think. and we are hard-wired to recognize them. the same thing happens when you see people dying of hunger in africa. we feel compassion. because there are objective moral values. and if there are objective moral values, there must be a source of those objective moral values.christians call this source their god. atheists on the other hand believe that there are no objective moral values. that what we think are objective moral values are but biological drives. the urge to survive. hence, we abhor murder because it destroys our specie. but what about rape? we hate rape too. the christian argues. following the atheist's argument shouldnt we like rape coz it's biologically advantageous? but hell no, we condemn rape too. so, there must be objective moral values. and if there are objective moral values, and we can feel them, and by them we can tell good from evil, then it inescapably follows that there's a god which is the source of those values.

It is the basic quality of human - its called humanity.
its supported by sympathy, kindeness, pity.
It is kept alive by understanding, caring and love.
If u feel bad for doing wrong. u still have the human values in You.
U have your consciousness alive and active.
Its a good sign anyway, my friend ! so dont worry.
