my girlfriend has a 8 year old daughter and her real dad has nothing to do with her,one of those low life guys.her name is shawnee and she has never saw her real dad and the law is looking for him for 5 kids he owes child support for but to the question ,iam the only dad she knows since she was born.is it ok for her to call me daddy,even if iam not her real dad?

if she feels comfortable calling you dad then its ok. i think its great u can be there for her like that some men wouldnt want the responsibility of some other mans kid

Well i would say that there is a difference between being a Daddy and just being the person who fathered a child then had nothing to do with them after that, So in my opinion if you are the one who raised her from an infant then you are her DADDY,and i admire you for that.

Absolutely YES.
But the only rule is this: You'd best plan on sticking around. Don't play with her head (though you don't sound like you are!).
There is a big difference between a "Daddy" and a father. YOU are her Daddy. Her Father (AKA sperm-donor) had only one purpose: to bring your little girl into the world.
It's okay (with her Mom's permission of course) to let your little girl know that she can call you Daddy because that is who YOU want to be.

There is really no problem with that. You can never be her father...biologically speaking......but you can sure be her daddy. It takes a special person to love and care for a child that's not your own. Enjoy the time you have with her, and treat her as one of your own. You can never go wrong with this. yes it is alright im a female with the same probably. my boyfriends ex just up and left him with a three month old and a three year old im the only mother they have ever known and the call me mommy and only mommy. they are now old enough to know why their mom left but they fell comfortable calling me mommy
