Every relationship is different.... Ive been in a relationship where I waited almost a year, and Ive been in a relationship where I waited all of 3 dates. Sometimes youre in a Marathon, other times the 40 yard dash. You dont know the event until you show up, sadly enough.
And whats with the term "sleeping"? Ive slept with a woman before I made love to her. I hate that term. Personally, some of the best nights and mornings of my life involve falling asleep and then waking up with someone I care about in my arms, nothing sexual involved outside of cuddling.
Your best bet is to let your head AND heart decide, try not to think with your hormones. Its hard sometimes, but just take a deep breath and hold on to them real tight. Some of my best and worst relationships were ruined by intimacy, either too fast and too forced, or too scared and too slow.
Just take your time and enjoy the moments, as cliche as that sounds.

I don't think there really is an amount of time you have to wait before you sleep with someone, especially if you were a virgin. Wait until you are ready and feel completely comfortable with them. Make sure they aren't there just to get some! Honestly, I was comfortable after a week with my current relationship, and now we are getting married. I felt comfortable with him, and trusted he wouldn't leave me afterwords, and of course he didn't! Just use your own judgment!

You should wait until you feel like you know who this person really is and you are comfortable around them. You have to want it too and not just because they want to. It is a very personal choice, just remember once you do you can't take it back. Things will change afterward, and you can't ever go back. So make very sure you are ready.

A minimum of at least 3 months, that way you will know if you even really like the person, and if all they want is sex, the would give up way before 3 months.

it doesnt matter how long, when you think you are ready and you feel like that you are then that is the time......just make sure it is the right feeling and not that feeling where you think you are but your not sure, if your in love with the person then it is much better. good luck!
