sorry for bad english

easy: salt is NaCl ...Na+1 in a larger amount that plasmatic quantity will cause hyperosmolarity and saliva will be forced out (water..i mean not ptialin containg saliva...parotid secretion)
Na+1 most possibly neutralized the Cl-1 in the gastric juice...so there u have dangerous hormonal dereglation and ions overdose..almost poison)
clear water will help a lot..force the dog to drink

good luck!!!

well.....there are a few things..
1)heat may couse excessive drooling but..he's not drinking water?
you may add some amidon...if the colour changes from blue to incolor the saliva will be rich in ptialin and the excessive drooling is coused by a mouth inflamation..most possible a salivar gland affection(parotid gland may by cancerous) or the dog has souffered a stronghit in the T1-T2 vertebral region(location of the simpatic salivar control),.......
Again:wait 24h..if the same go to a vet....ps: be careful ..u can try this: feed the dog...that will couse all the salivar glands work toghether and may clean a tubular obstruction ;)

I would get your dog to a vet, they may want to put an iv in him, he may be dehydrated. People cannot drink salt water, so I would bring him ASP. I hope the best.
