Il Mulino (not malino) gets a lot of praise but I have never eaten there so I can't comment.

The best I have been to is I Trulli e27th Street.

Carmine's is good if you have a big group.

Little Italy (Mulberry St.) is way overrated.

Arturo's on Houston is great for pizza and traditional Italian and not that expensive.

Ands there are hundreds of good ones.

The 'stuff' replaced into in all threat and unsweetened marscapone with 'savory' spices added. Marscapone is a million/2 'cheese' and a million/2 'whipped cream' and if this is sweetened that's utilized in dishes like Tiramisu (cake or woman palms, marscapone, coffee liqueur and occasional, very rich and delious). it may even have been a sort of gorgonzola, a 'blue' cheese that many human beings discover 'nasty' ... or probable a mix of marscapone and gorgonzola. this is totally unusual to be certain marscapone unsweetened interior the U. S., yet once you have been at a 'commonly used chef's eating place' i will basically approximately be certain that there replaced into marscapone in this dish, considering's 'unusual' in Italian dishes interior the U. S., and could be then 'reducing element.' i'm sorry you probably did no longer like it, even though that's extremely an 'obtained flavor' ... so attempt some amazing MADE tiramisu for the terrific flavors and attempt to ignore this 'dish' that 'tasted terrible' ... basically be conscious that no rely if that's savory (made with issues like oregano, basil, marjoram) and has marscapone in it, or has gorgonzola in it, which you will no longer like it so take in basic terms the smallest flavor to be certain till now you 'dig in.'
