The screenplay will center around factors involved in horseracing.
I have vast knowledge about the horse racing industry, i.e. drugs, equipment, weight, jockeys, trainers, racing conditions.
This will not be some "feel-good" type screenplay, it will deal with the seedy, shady side of the sport.
The screenplay will include some tremendous music.
Anybody gonna come when it opens?

To DonSoze.
My son works in Hollywood with Directors and Producers, so I may have an edge.

Sounds interesting. Avoid the cliches in found in every other gambling film produced.. There's a documentary out about Randy Romero which focuses on the dark side of the industry. You might want to see it for some ideas. Whatever you do keep it cold and depressing so it will turn out realistic and sad...like real life.

If it isn't too depressing, I might.
I'm not going to shell out for just an expose on the industry,
but for a well-informed, interesting story I would, even if it was sad.

I'd like to see a Ruffian or Black Gold movie- it would be a tear-jerker of course but to inform people about the industry and have a striking story to tell about a champion horse and how it all ends for even the great ones, that would be cool.

And how about Ferdinand? Okay, that would be reaching the too depressing range pretty quick...

Sounds like a Noble Enterprise. I too have an interest in the seedy side of the backside, where I lived for 5 years in tack rooms that were not meant for humans! Will you be showing that end of this "slave trade industry"?

No.
There are bad sides to all sports. Having a movie that is made solely to show the downside of racing is not something I'm interested in giving money to. It is difficult enough now - another show/movie looking at the negative is not appealing to me no matter what the topic.

Hell Yeah!!! I LOVE horse racing - in the industry myself. Just so long's you don't show too much of the abuse that happens to horses, even though I know it happens more often than not.
