Again as I took my wife and brother and his wife to the Big Boy Restaurant here in my town I observed a man with a magnet on his vehicle saying "God Bless out troops". I walked up to him ( Like I did the others ) and said "Thanks for supporting the troops" and I got a big smile from him and his son. Then I said "I want your son to enlist in the Army or Marines to help President Bush". The look on their faces was one of horror. You'd think I just put a piece of crap in their mouth. The father said " I....I....I only support the war if other sons are dying in the war". The son said " I'm going to college....I.....I....I have a girl friend....I have alot going for me .....I....I am not a loser like the other guys who join the service"....With that they walked away from me mumbling what a creep I am for asking them to serve Mr Bush. So I once again took the magnet off of their car. ( I now have 5 magnets ) All I can say is "So much for the people who say they support the war.

Come on K-9...its not true is it?......again!!

This would be the same Big Boy where you have had marines jumping up and down on their hats and crying because the war is wrong....the same Big Boy where you had another marines breaking down in sorrow and anguish because the owner is an Iraqi and his daughter is lovely....the same Big Boy where Elvis Presley can be found talking to Lee Harvey Oswald and Marilyn Monroe in a booth.

It all goes on at Big Boy.

You are becoming a fantasist.

Well, I don't think you did any of those things .. nor do I think you got the answers you say you did ... and yet again, why is it so difficult to understand that we can support the TROOPS, but don't agree with the Iraq war?? The troops didn't start the war ... neither did Congress ever declare war ... no, this illegal war is Mr Bush's private war ... And fair enough, if you want to support an illegal war, go ahead ... it has nothing to do with supporting or respecting our men and women in uniform ...

I've had people assume that I was too stupid for college and that's why I joined the Navy. I've also met others who claimed to support the war but said they would never "send their children". By the way, you don't send your children, you're children are young adults who make the decision to sign up and send themselves.
That being said, the military is not for everyone. I come from a military family (both parents, a grandfather, two uncles, a cousin and several of my father's cousin's have served) and although it was right for me, my older sister and younger brother would not do well in the military. They have chosen their own paths in life.
I am not a loser and I'm very educated and intelligent, I just chose to serve my country in the manner I saw best so as to insure my children's freedoms.

Support our troops to me means we support the boys that are willing to risk their lives for the U.S.A. not that moron Bush. If my son wanted to join I would cry for a lot of reasons worry and pride the biggest ones. But it's his choice. I don't have a magnet for the simple fact that it's become a war for oil. If anything I would wear a yellow ribbon close to my heart. I don't support war at all or Bush. I do support the men and women that are fighting for their country and what they believe in. And it takes big balls to enlist.

That is your opinion. I do not think the war was a good idea either. I do not support Bush either. I did not vote for Bush. I do support the troops because I know they are fighting for their lives as well as for us and I wish them all the best. There are a lot of young men and women that are leaving for the war and never come home and it is for something we don't even know. What was the real purpose of the war to begin with?

You might as well take it off mine too, because Bush is and idiot and a jackass and he's doing nothing but killing our soldiers. I support the troops that have to follow that ignorant son of a ***** but only because I want them all home safe and sound and with their families. Where they belong! Not out policing the rest of the world.

If you have the unmitigated gaul to do this you are lucky no one has beaten you up!!Why don't you ask GWB and his friends why their children are not fighting???? That might be a better question for you to ask. Of course you'd end up on the homeland enemies list but so what!!By the way are you and yours over there fighting??? And by the way taking other peoples things can land you in jail.

Those magnets and things are nothing but a fad. Most people don't know what they support they only jump on the bandwagon and try to fit in. If you don't support this war you are afreaking moron!! Most people have no clue as to what we are dealing with!!

thanks for supporting the troops is a nice and respectful thing to have said, although with all the crazies out there today I wouldn't have said even that, I'd have just enjoyed seeing the magnet. what you said further was presumptuous and uncomfortable, you shouldn't have said it - too personal and absolutely not your business to say. what they both said tpo you, instead of just a thank you, was weird and bizarre. next time, just enjoy magnets and bumper stickers, don't comment. and yes, there are tons of hypocrated out there, as well asdangerous and very bizarre people.

Bob's Big Boy is bad for you. You should try a salad bar once in a while. It's healthier and will help you out of your depression to get some vitamins inside you.
