why is it a girl will date a guy, even move in w/ him when they know that there is no real future w/ him? they know that they don't want to marry this person, but continue to be in the relationship. this seems like such a waste of time to me i don't get it!

Girls love to have something to strive for(in my experience). Some take this too far. If they bag the ideal guy straight away, the challenge of striving for something better is gone. With a guy they know isn't ideal, they'll strive to make him this way, even if they know it's impossible to reach the goals they strive for. They also feel they can justify failure this way. D'ya get me?

sometime its a security issue. Maybe the girl doesn't think she'll find anyone better. Maybe she just doesn't want to be alone. Maybe she thinks she'll "grow to love him" Who knows?
