Let me answer with a question: Do you think all Englishmen hate all Americans, or does it just seem that some Englishman (maybe lots) aren't so fond of you? And why do you suppose that might be?

It may stem from the the Declaration Of Independence. The United States declared themselves independent from British rule on July 4th, 1776. They formed their own democracy with a President that did not defer to the Regency.

I like the Brits, like their sense of humor and fair play. I am an American and there are some Americans I don't care for, and some I do. Guess there is good and bad everywhere, God save the Queen and God bless America.

i asked the same question once and got a torrent of abuse from the yanks. i think there should be a uk only yahoo q & a.they just dont get our sense of humor and are to easyly offended! i dont hate americans but i wont kiss their a-r-s-e-s either

even as an american i can say that englishmen hate us because we are so impolite.LOL.sad to say it but yea it's true.most americans are like pigs....they have no maners....

BECAUSE THE AMERICANS KICKED THEIR BUTT DURING THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. THEY HATE THE FACT THAT THE COLONISTS NO LONGER WANTED TO BE A PART OF THEM, PAYING THE KING TAXES, AND BEING FORCED TO HOUSE THE ENGLISH SOLDIERS (REDCOATS).
