I did extensive research on the history and I now have reason to believe that the Chruch isn't the one true Chruch and was wondering if other may have done the same thing. If so where you deeply hurt to learn about the whitewashing the Chruch has done?

Yes I also have done extensive research on the Mormon Church and early Church history/prophets. Gratefully so has a great many others, and more qualified than I. They have helped provide me a way to verify what they have found, and it is shocking!

Unlike Oldman, I don't just take dogma which has been carefully crafted to justify why I would think this church is the "true" church, which has returned the keys of the priesthood. If God was to use someone for such purpose how can he make such a huge mistake by placing his trust in a man who practiced magic, used many items from the occult, and used his position to ensure that he had as much sexual gratification as he could possibly get, hiding such fact from his wife Emma (who was most against such practices of polygamy!), until it became too obvious that he indeed was now married to multiple women, some who already had husbands (darn that's polyandry too, isn't it?) and continued to do so, and tada (or is that abracadabra, knowing the occult background?), revelation, now it is the only way to get into the celestial kingdom by having multiple wives, and husbands, as the case later turned out to be. What better way to cover up adultery than by being able to marry whomever you wish, assuming that person's other spouse is ok with it (or in the case of Emma, hide the fact!)?

Brigham Young was no better. He was sealed to 38 other men, which provided him their wives/children too. He also preached blood atonement (you've done a horrible sin, but if you let us kill you, you will be saved!??), allowed castrations of young men to occur, those who were in competition for young women whom the elders wanted as wives, and was nothing short of a dictator as spoken by he himself.

Men of God? I daresay that is a hard one to swallow.

But let us ignore their "lives", let us pay attention instead to their "works". Book of Mormon... That's already been toasted, no need to rehash. How about the Book of Abraham? Interesting that the exact same Egyptian papyri used as the source for such book turn out to be funerary documents, specifically the Book of the Dead, which is to bring people back to life/eternal life? Hmm... Interesting too that dating the papyri brings it to 2,000 years old, which is about 2,000 years too young to have been written by the hand of Abraham.

Then the various revelations later, which provide for the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. Indeed it has cost a great deal. Men with whom one can't trust with one's own money because they bankrupt themselves and then church members too, you trust them to provide true revelations?

Necromancers, adulterers, and thieves. But they were able to tame the great desert... Slaughtered all that got in their way while doing so but "tame" it was.

Ashamed that my parents converted me into this godless religion? Yes! Betrayed when I found out the history? YES! Angry? No. I found out before I was dead. At least now I have a choice, and it was mine to make, and the snake no longer has control of my soul!

I have nothing against the religion really, to each his own. I read about the gold tablets buried in a hill in NY state then strangely lost (similar to the 10 commandments), the angel Macaroni (or similar), and the clincher, The Book of Mormon being strangely written in the King James version! I think Smith really screwed up there. Makes me wonder why the Mormons haven't just disowned all this and went by the Bible exclusively. But, I've been wrong before.

I am not a Mormon. I know that many well meaning and good people are in that religion.
I saw a video one time on the "God Makers" which tells of Mormon beliefs. It was so strong and troubling that I could not sleep for days. If what is true in the video, and if you love the true Jesus then you better get out and find a Bible Believing Church.
The thing is, is the Jesus the Mormon's betray the same Jesus in the Bible? No.

I have also done extensive research on the church, but others have done much more. Both former Mormons and outsiders (like myself). It can't be the true church, from what I have found. I would recommend two books. One is called, "The God-Makers", and the other is called, "Out of Mormonism" (by some woman, I think her name is Anderson. I think if you read this last one, you'll find out all you need to know. (Another good book is "Beyond Mormonism", by a guy (I think his name is James Spencer (he was a Mormon elder and he eventually left the church after the things he found out. And he's happy today.).

I was RLDS since a baby, then I grew up and researched this. Came to about same conclusion. Joseph Smith started it. But I think Brigham Young is the Mormon/LDS Founder?
I am now a Fusionist, that is to say that I believe there is a common area where all can all agree on certain points, whatever they may be.

I am a member of the mormon religion, however I have not attended in about 5 years. I married into it. I was married in a Mormon church also. However, I do prefer my non-denominational religion. Seems the Mormon religion has too many rules you have to follow. The Mormon people seem to be very honest, giving, loving etc. but I prefer my religion at the time. They do seem to try to push their religion on you at times though and Im not for that at all.

I not only have done research I became one & left. They say they teach out of the bible, but in their service they read more out of their book of mormon then the bibel, sure they "quote" from the bible use a couple verses here & there, but never use it like other pastors at other churches. the individuals are nice & can be true disciples,if they choose to drop the book of mormon, but otherwise the religion is lost.

Christ's original church ended with the great apostasy. Joseph Smith, by the authority of God himself, reorganized Christ’s original church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) to the earth with Christ himself as the cornerstone or leader: Read: Acts 3:19-21 and Matt. 17:11-13. It is the same organization that existed in Christ's original church: Read Eph. 4:11-14, 1st Tim. 3: 1-8 and Luke 10:1. It bears the name of Jesus Christ: Read: Eph. 3:21 and Acts 4:12. We claim revelation from God: Read: Amos 3:7 and Proverbs 29:18. Our officers or General authorities are called of God: Read: Heb. 5: 4 and Exodus 40:13-16. We do not have a paid ministry: Read: 1st Cor. 9:18, 1st Peter 5: 13, 2nd Thess. 3: 8 and Acts 20:34. We are a missionary church: Read: Matt. 24: 4, Matt. 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15. We have a foundation of Apostles and Prophets: Read: Eph. 2:19-20 and Luke 6:13-16.We claim divine authority: Read: John 15:16 Heb. 5: 4-12. We practice divine healings: Read: Mark 6:13, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-16 and Luke10: 9. We teach that God and Christ have bodies of flesh and bone: Read: Luke 24: 36 39. We teach that God and Christ are separate and distinct individuals: Read: Acts7: 55-56. We bestow the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands: Read: 2nd Tim.1: 6, Acts 8: 16-17and Acts 19: 6. We are called Saints: Read: 1st Cor. 14: 33 and Eph. 4:12. We baptize by immersion: Matt. 3: 16, Mark 1: 9-10, John 3: 23 and Acts 8: 38-39. We practice baptism for the dead: Read: 1st Cor. 15:29 and Heb. 11: 39-40. In Heb. 13:8, you will find why these things are important.

So, you see, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was not founded in the year 1830 at all. It was founded by Christ during his ministry and restored to the earth in these latter days as foretold by the ancient prophets.

The bible also tells of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. Read: Isa. 29:4 on, Ezek 37: 15-20, and John 10:16. The book of Mormon in no way replaces the bible. It is but another testament of Jesus Christ as written by the people of the western hemisphere. It goes hand in hand with the bible as they testify of each other's truth.

All religions have done a great deal of white washing of their history...

The difference with Mormonism is that is a fairly recently created sect...

But yes..there are some horrendous things in their history...
