I would call them up and make them send you restore disks.
What if you booted your PC and the hard drive was bad? Corrupted ? You just lost your OS, how are you going to restore it ?

Make them send you disks. Be Firm !!!!

I myself have delt with Dell on not sending restore disks, and when I got it, they sent me the wrong OS restore disk.....

Like I mentioned before, be FIRM with them, this is a MAJOR purchase for you. You spent a lot of money on this.

Make them send it. You paid for it.

When you purchased your dell pc, you should have also received some CDs and one of them is the recovery disk. If you don't have it, you can always download it from the dell website. You need to navigate to your location for your type of dell system to download the appropriate drivers and software.

The first time you boot the computer and get to the desktop it will prompt you to make the recovery disks.
