phlegm is excessive and sometimes I throw up./ What can I do to prevent this.

Find a cough medicine that will help break up the phlegm. This will also help with the vomitting. When you are coughing up the phlegm, it bothers your stomach which causes you to vomit. Try the cough medicine that I suggested, you should feel better in a couple of days

it could be a medical condition in the works; you should go to a doctor to find out why you now have a phlegm problem.

eat less sweets, brush your teeth often and, if for some reason you can't, rinse your mouth frequently. repeat less sugar.the sugar is the culprit. ask your dentist to check your gums.

Try drinking more water or other clear liquids. It will thin your mucus, and make it easier for you to handle.
