you ask a question and the answers you get have nothing to do with what you asked.
my sister does this to me all the time( just answer the freaking question, please!!!) it could be a yes or no answer but yet she still goes on on about something totally different.

Yes, it can be irritating. I figure that some people just to like to hear the sound of their own voice.

Its okay to find faults with others but that does not get the answer right. So look at how can u make it clear what the question is, or ask if she is attentive.

hi.. i have a friend that does the same thing. when we are fishing together i will ask him something and he will talk about something that has nothing to do with what i ask.. now i just ignore what he is saying because it does not have anything to do with waht i ask .I think the best thing to do is be upfront and tell them that they are rambiling on without you in the conversation.....marc

It seems like people do that to me 24/7. I freakin hate it. Thats a good way to piss me off.
