National growth? In what way, increasing the borders, financially, emotionally?

Wasn't this country started because this is what people were seeking, the liberty to worship as they chose? I don't see how liberty can be detrimental in any way, and I would hope that with that liberty comes responsibility; the ability not just to worship as a person chooses, but not to try to expect everyone to conform to what your idea of religious freedom is. And to me, that extends to freedom to 'not' be religious, as well.

According to the ACLU it is.

My question is for those that think it is detrimental is why did people wait until after 200 some years all of a sudden questioning the need for religious liberty? This is was one of the main reasons people came to this country in the first place.

When Religious Liberty is held to just that....LIBERTY, it is a fundamental part of Democracy and every US Citizen's right. When "liberty" is construed to mean "Liberty for me to make you believe as I do," then NO, NO, NO. And that is the problem religions are creating today. I really do not want to see anyone screaming about their bible. NO WHERE in that book does it say anything about forcing others views on me! And the present administration is trying to do just that...and using the word, "just" in the same sentence as "present administration" creates an oxymoron, doesn't it.

Its only detrimental to your growth when you don't read the Bible at all you need to know your creator and have a understanding about your purpose in life. Go to church and get around some people that can tell you about GOD, start asking questions.

Its only going to be detrimental to your growth when you get hooked up to the wrong person that don't know GOD and can mislead you. I will pray for you
