The soldiers sent are not the ones doing most of the killing. They defend themselves when attacked. If you do a little research you will discover that the terrorist in Iraq are the prime doers when it comes to killing their fellow countrymen.

The bible has several instances where wars were fought. They were lead by Jewish and Christian leaders and Kings (to the uneducated Kings were like a President but for life). The orders to send troops into a conflict are NEVER as easy as you have so blithely stated, and to answer 1 question the Congress of the USA was also involved in the decision making process to send in troops. It was NOT a 1 MAN operation nor at one mans orders or request to send in troops... He maybe the leader of the USA but he still has people he has to answer to and checks and balances to follow... Christians have lead our military from every position from the President to the lowest Non-Commission Officers in each branch of the military, and for as long as this country has been around. No president is perfect, and not all were Christian, but Most had a religious background that assisted in their ability to function and to lead... If you can do better please get your petitions in and run for office, and GOOD LUCK!

He is the President, so he has to do what needs to be done for his job. I don't think that's his intention to send soldiers to go and kill people. His purpose in sending soldiers to other countries is to help liberate other countries and keep America safe from terrorists.

because if we didnt send soldiers to go out and protect our country in a time of need, some country would have just came back over here and pull off another 9/11. if we didnt send soldiers over there the depression of the country would send us into a really bad time and all chaos would break out. would you rather go on living in your perfect life style or be out on the street with 3 million of your closest freinds scouraging and fighting for a single piece of food. your so pathetic for saying that.

Don't be obtuse. If a someone is going to kill you, and you kill them first, does that somehow nullify your faith. Now I understand that my analogy doesn't quite work in relation to the war, but my point is that this is a complex issue that requires abstract thought. And besides, that wasn't really a question was it? It was more of a way to express your views wasn't it. So don't act all wounded because someone was irritated by your "question". "Oh woe is me. All I did was ask a question and everybody is mad at me" You are a douche-bag.

Christian or not is irrelevant, when you go to war you kill people. There has always been and will always be the need to fight wars. When the need arises people are going to die. Christians, Muslims, Jews, and any other religous group have been killing people in wars for thousands of years. Wars and dying are just facts of living on planet earth.

Becasue he's the President trying to make you and me safe and secure. If you've read the Bible then you'll know that God's people have been at war. We are told to do what our authorities and Nations ask us to do. It's his job. What religion do you want our President to be to send soldiers to make us safe and secure?

im not going to call anyone a good christian or a bad christian. no one should do that. im not a christian, but i know that judging people is not right. i think most people know that.

however, i DO know that everyday our nation moves ever closer to a Facist Theocracy. Our freedoms are being taken away right in front of our eyes but no one has the brains or guts to stick up to it anymore.
