yes, nice guys are generally quite shy. They only tend to be open when they finally realize that you won't judge them for thinking/feeling the way they do.

I'm shy with some people and not with others. Don't know why this is. I've got manners and I'm polite too. Even if I am shy, if someone speaks to me, I'll chat right back, even if I don't know how to take them or whatever.
At work I'm known as the quiet one. That or "oh he's so polite that boy." It's boring and it sucks though hehe.

Yes! Excellent question! I think that genearlly the guys who are more polite and have good manners are shy. I Also think that SOME guys who are not shy have a bigger chance of being rude. I am shy and I don't think I heard any negative comments about my manners.

ok im a nice guy and i am not shy and never have been shy actually i dance in the spotlight at dances so i dont think im shy

all guys are different and i think a guy can be a "nice guy" and not be really open if they have a reason for it. You cant use those two factors to characterizee a guy cuz theres so much more to people than their openess

Yes normally shy as probably in the past girls were nasty to them simply as they liked the girl.
