A good place to start would be veterinary clinics. They usually know reputable breeders. Also try the AKC and local dog shows. Try to get as much info as possible about breeders. Just because they are purebred and registered doesn't mean they are healthy, sound pups. Good luck!

I personally would check shelters, SPCA and rescues first before paying an arm and a leg for a dog that is being bred for profit. There are many pure bred dogs in shelters that will be euthanized if they are not adopted. I hope you will check these first. Even if you adopt from a rescue, you are helping to save a life by making room for them to rescue another dog from the shelter. I would look into adopting them in that order first too. Shelters kill withsome animals only having days to be adopted, SPCA kills after a long period of time and rescues do not kill. There are many great dogs out there that need homes so I encourage you to first try saving a life. I would google yorkshire terrier rescues Mississippi or Louisiana and see what pops up after you have checked local shelters. Hope this helps and hope you can help save a life. ;)

I think the more important question is, "Why would you want to?"

If you're going to get a dog, get a real dog like a lab or a German shepherd.
