Yes - all towns and villages are very clean and tidy, there are many medieval buildings well kept-up, actually almost any building is in a good condition although renovations are very expensive.

Public transport is expensive, but it's all non-smoking since last year, and the trains, buses and ships are very clean and technically up-to-date - also in safety aspects.

With the exception of very very limited areas at certain times of the night, whole Switzerland is a really safe place. Anyone can walk around without worrying about serious crime.

To a Swiss like me, all this is normal - and one only thinks about, when noticing the difference abroad.

Yes, Switzerland is absolutely gorgeous. I lived in Switzerland for 10 years and loved it.
The landscape is breathtaking: from snowy mountain tops in Bernease Oberland to palm trees in Ticino. You can mountain bike, hike, swim in summer and ski, snowboard and practice mountaineering in winter.
Swiss cities also deserve a lot of credit; Geneva, Zurich, Bern, Luzern, Lugano, Basel - are all very unique.
You will be amazed by how clean and neat the entire country is.
You can go vacationing in Switzerland regardless of the season and still enjoy it 100%.

Yes, I believe so. In many ways, it is an ideal country where beauty in nature is matched only by beauty in people.
