They may be sinning, but we all sin. If you are thinking of the "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" passage I don't think you get the concept. To Blaspheme against the holy spirit means to turn against to the point that you would never turn back to him. I think that is a subject that is between a person and their God. Considering people have become saved after being a hindu that definition doesn't work.
I think we should be more concerned that they haven't accepted the Christian God's forgiveness rather than that they worship idols

Do you pray infront of an alter? How about a Cross? A statue of the virgin Mary?

Aren't these idols too? Sure they represent the Christain God, but Hindu statues represent their God's likeness too. If you could prove that Hindu Gods are false Gods, they would actually be breaking the first commandment (No other Gods before me) rather than the one about idols.

In short: No.....

per the word of the christian God, Jehovah, the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob that is breaking one of the 10 commandments. I just don't know why people would want to worship all those things when you can just praise the one God that created them all....that is one reason why i am not a hindu..i basically picked christianity among many other reasons b/c there is only one true God..call it laziness ..but i dont have time for all that. and im very fond of steak.

If anyone commits idol worship its the christian. christians worship thier bibles and crosses and scream when someone worships a tree or deer. I like Hindus and i hope when you die you will be on an all Hindu trial. God is not a bigot like you are.

Idol worship is breaking one of the Ten Commandments. That is why I am no longer Catholic! I spent more time praying to Mary than I did to God! There are ornate statues behind the alters of all Catholic churches I have seen. Hindus are ignorant of Christ and God. It is not their fault. But they are breaking the second Commandment.

Everyone sins, until they are saved by faith. Once you are "saved" you can not sin anymore, because you are not under the law. Gal 2:21 . . . "If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." 1 John 5:18 "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not . . . " Let he who is without sin cast the first stone (smile). Hope this helps. It is a good thought-provoking question. Only an idiot beleives that everyone could do whatever they want, whenever they want. Idiots pick and choose what they want to believe and follow. I guess that makes me an Idiot (smile). At least I am not an idiot stone-thrower. Beware of the the stone throwers below:

God is against idols.
God is also against condemning people who may act in ignorance.
So instead of speaking harshly against Hindus, why not just show them God does not appreciate use of idols?

Here is what God's Word says...

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

It is forbidden to make any image or picture of the Deity, in any form, or for any purpose; or to worship any creature, image, or picture.

Seems pretty clear to me.

From a Christian perspective, no because that is their religion and that is all they have believed. I think that what God meant by idol worship is when we place our priorities on material things, or even selfishness (when we're selfish, aren't we really worshipping ourselves?)

No, because they follow a different god. They could be thinking the same as us only with the application towards us, but they don't because they respect others beliefs
