Do you just have to accept Christ and then you're saved? What if you are "saved" and you sin? How do you repent or do you have to? Does anyone who is "saved" go to heaven no matter what??

OK, you asked christians, be prepared for a long answer:
You go to Hel! if you do not put your faith in christ; in other words, you dont believe him with your whole heart. You get into heaven by telling God that you are a sinner; heres a prayer if you are looking to become a christian:
Heavenly Father,
I know that i am a sinner. i believe that your son Jesus died on the cross for my sins and the sins of the world. Take control of my life and lead me to do your will.
In your name,
Amen.

You go into heaven even after you sin if you have asked Jesus to control your life. you SHOULD repent, and how you do that is by praying and saying that you know what you did was wrong and you wont do it agan. that doesnt mean that if you steal something you pray for repentance and then go and do it again tomorrow. when you repent, you say that 'god, i will never do that again. and anyone who is saved goes to heaven, no matter what.

if you want to know more, email my pastor, hes really funny and should explain it easily. you can email him at: tkomrska@cgefc.org. or you can visit: http://cgefc.org/index.php

First of all, we will not get into heaven based on our good works. If that were so Jesus would not have ever had to die. No, accepting that we are sinners and Jesus as our savior is what it's all about. Second, when you think about it, salvation is an everyday thing. We can lose out on heaven any minute. Just because we accepted Jesus doesn't mean we are free to do as we like. Satan is always going to be there trying to make us stumble. To repent means TO SIN NO MORE.

God's grace gets you into heaven...nothing more, nothing less. Man cannot help but sin because it is part of his nature ("original sin" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_sin). You do need to feel sorry in your heart for your sins to be forgiven, but since you are asking this question I assume you do. Depending on your denomination there are various means to achieve forgiveness. Catholics believe if it is a "venial" (minor) sin you can ask God directly for forgiveness - if it is "mortal" (serious) you need to go to confession. Most Protestants believe you can do this on your own, or by saying a prayer of forgiveness in church (Lutherans and Episcopalians do this, for example).

Anyway, I think you have to be a pretty horrible person to be condemned to eternal hell if God is the loving and merciful Father I believe Him to be. Remember Jesus' words, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Here's how it works. In order to get into heaven, you have to confess your sins, ask Jesus for forgiveness, ask Jesus to come into your heart, your mind, your life and your soul and ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your personal SAVIOUR. You must have FAITH and follow the WORD of God. EVERYONE of us sins. NO ONE PERSON is as perfect or more perfect then Jesus himself. Just because you don't see him, does not mean he is not there. You have to "walk by faith, not by sight." Each time one sins, you confess your sin and ask for forgiveness. Jesus was crucified for US and our sins and he loves you. Who else would do that?

yep, accept Jesus with all your heart=go to heaven.
if you sin, God knows your heart, you will be judged fairly, He is just, forgiving, and loving, but i wouldnt push Him.
