Do you think Muslims are getting a bad rap due to the fact that they do not denounce the wack job terrorist? Or do most Muslims agree with the fact that killing in the name of "Allah" is fine. What say you people?

You can't look at Islam as one big lump. There are many different varieties of Islam. The terrorists are coming from certain Wahabist Islamic sects (look up Wahabi on Google). So blaming all the Muslims for terrorism is like blaming all Christians if one murderer turns out to be Catholic.
Islam is at war with itself as much as it is with the outside world. There are many people who disagree completely with the terrorist aims. But the American and world media does not focus on these Muslims, or try to hear their voices.
The terrorists, like Osama bin Laden, are trying to re-establish the Caliphate (look it up on Google), the pre-Ottoman Empire system of government in the Middle East. This is kind of like if a group of Christians decided that we should all go back to being governed by the King of England.
The terrorists' aims are not practical, and unworkable in the 21st century, and their means are beyond awful. But at the same time Islam is a religion that is very much a part of the believer's life and the Muslim is required to implement God's rules in their lives (just as Christians are in Christianity). So therefore many Muslims are suspicious of American-style capitalism and the social problems that go with it. Therefore they cannot agree with the terrorists, but they cannot just jump up and down and go "Yeah America! Go USA!" because they see problems with our system of government.
It's a hard question all around and there are no easy answers. The only people who have easy answers are wrong.

I think it hurts the image of all Muslims when the terrorists act up. If you don't denounce it, it appears that you agree with it. This is not a ransom act occasionally, but a concentrated effort by the Muslim terrorists. Speak up and be counted or be lumped together with the terrorists, in peoples eyes.

All a thinking person has to do is sit down and either read or listen to the news very closely and it will not take them long to see this fact. It breaks my heart that Islam is so horribly misunderstood. The Good People of Islam DO NOT deserve the persecution they receive from the hate mongers of this world. What all people need to understand is that a religion is neither good or evil until it reaches the hands and heart of the practitioner.

True Muslims do in fact denounce terroristic activities and crime,etc. But you r NOT being a terrorist if u r trying to protect ur country and its values and traditions,etc.

actually we try to find out the reason behind those who r turned terrorists, n we find , that almost all of them have some painful histories regarding injustice in their lives thru their enemies , u can say non-muslims here, , ,
though killing of innocents or taking revenge from them is never justified in islam , , , , ,
but its not all easy to make them understand, , ,
like wats israel is doing in gaza just for one soldier only
no one sees them as terrorists

Islam denounces terrorism in every form including the killing of innocent people for personal gains as Bush is doing around the world. I hope we all remember that that is terrorism too.

I think some agree with the terrorists but some are afraid of them. Terrorists don't mind killing anyone in the name of their cause.
