I am gonna say No. It clearly states in the Bible which I believe to be the Word of God that "Thou Shalt Have No Other God's Before Me." Anything that you worship is an idol and idolatry a violation to God's word. Besides that, I do not understand what a (as you describe) saint would do for you that you would desire to pray to it?
I guess I just started a new question.

What is called the word of god truthly is the convinced support of truth not seen and the call of desired things accomplished to ego. Gods are either deliverers or cooks.
Worship is a missing word to speakers of truth, and facts are sure there to aid not raise their opinions, preachers worship and pray to saints (as acquaintances) to achieve word. Transponders use electricity.
On an evolved aproach burns are ignorance or dismissal, neither are loving nor caring, proper attention of own and others mean true love and true care, no less.
Miths and folk creatures are made this way.

God does not want us to worship saints etc..
Catholics do not worship saints, we honor them. Just as we cherish the memory of political heroes.
"Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the Emperor.(1 Pet 2:17)

My (limited) understanding of Catholicism is that they don't actually worship the saints.
However, in my opinion, no, it's not based on God's Word. It does seem to border on idolatry.

No. Revelation 22:8,9 strictly forbids it. Worship God ONLY.

No. That's mostly catholic dogma. "Hold no god before Me." Saints are to be honored... But worshipped?

No. we are to worship Jesus. We are to pray to Jesus, and ask Him to forgive us. He is the one who died for us, and was buried, and rose again on the third day. He is the one that saved my soul. Not man.

Yes, the Bible says that you shall have no other gods before Christ. It also says you shall serve the Lord your God alone.
