I've been using Avalon Organics Shampoo and Conditioner in the Lavender scent and it works wonders for dry hair! You can find it at any health food store. Also, I use olive oil in my hair and it makes it shiny and moisturized.

A normal healthy head will lose about 80 hair a day. If you think you are losing MORE than that and your hair seems drier than usual, AND you haven't done anything different in the way you are caring for your hair, then the change in your hair's condition may very well be connected to your health.

Have you started taking any new medication(s) recently? Some medication can cause dryness in your hair. Also thyroid problems can definitely cause loss of hair, as could stress and anxiety. You may want to consult a physician if you have noticed any other health problems in addition to your hair falling out at a rapid rate.

As far as your hair is concerned, you could start taking a daily vitamin and you may also treat your hair to a hot oil treatment; that should help with the dryness.

Sounds like a lack of vitamins...try taking some prenatal vitamins, they have the highest concentrated dose and will absorb into your body the fastest. Also, drink lots of water, and do not use heat on your hair for a while, as heat dries it out which can make it brittle. Also, switch shampoo/conditioner brands everytime you have to buy new. Using the same brand over and over can leave your hair with no luster and can lead to build ups. Good luck, I know my hair is one of my best assets.. =)

OK, you could just be stressed out, if any major change has happened in you life that could be it. If it does not stop, even if you are happy, you should go to the doctors. it may then be because of you Thyroid Gland.

Have you been on a diet? A low carb diet? Because that can cause your hair to fall out.

Could be your diet. Stress? Or you might be washing your hair too much. You need those oils in your hair that's why its recommended that you wash your hair every other day..if even that much.
