I suggest you throw around some hints its much more better then coming out forward because if you do and he says no you cant take it back but hints you can just be like " I didnt mean you" or something

Drop him signs now and then.Pay extra attention to his likes and dislikes in everything.dress the way he wants you to in his favourite colour.If you have the same circle of friends try and stand up for him infront of them.ofcourse not against your will.eventually he will know.Good luck

Well, a boy kept asking me if i liked him, (he just likes me as a friend) and i told him! He didnt laugh at me, but he understood! We are great buds now

You have to suck it up and think, "what's the worst that can happen?" He can say he hates you (worst case sennario) And if he's that mean and cold hearted then you should, and can, find someone better and kinder.

Depending on how old you are, it may be appropriate to have one of your friends tell him for you? If you are too old for that option,
then you just have to risk his rejection, and tell him. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
