may sound silly, but drink water upside down
flip your head over as far as possible and drink from the opposite side of the glass (you can use a straw if you cant master this technique like i do...lol)
my husband thinks it's hilarious when i do it, but if you do it right, it works every time.

there is a simple way to abort the bout of hiccup,
keep your lips shut and close the nostrils by pressing both the nostrils by your hand ,so as to enable to breath.
try to hold the breath as long as possible.open the nostrils and
take two or three respiration's and repeat the procedure again.for two or three times or till the hiccups stops.
drink plenty of water.
there are many sedative medicines,to be taken under medical supervision,at the same time try to find out the cause for the repeated attacks of hiccups,some times it may be due to kidney disease.

Take a piece of paper and concentrate really hard on folding it as small as you can and then hold it to your throat...the hiccups should go away then.

Don't eat too fast; take time to chew.
When you have them, you could try swallowing (no food) while hanging upside down.
