Every time i use to wake up during the night i would see the clock and it would be 11:44. What i did is everytime i wanted to look at the clock when i woke up i would just resist. That is the best way. So say your in the car and you feel its 8:02 dont look at the clock. Thats the best i have to tell you.

You actually look at the clock a lot of times during the day,, this is just the only time that means anything to you. At some point in your past, this time became engrained in your mind due to something, even something as trivial as you were running late and you looked at the clock and it was 8:02. Now, you notice that particular time. You are also looking at the clock at other times of the day constantly, and probably many times it is the same time as when you looked at it yesterday, but 8:02 means something to your mind. Nothing wierd but that you mind picks up on things like this. There have been studies, and they generally all show the same pattern.

Next time you get the urge to look at the clock.....resist, resist, resist!!!! Just count to 60 in your head and then look. One of two things will happen. It will either be 8:03, or it will be 8:02 proving that your initial urge was to look at the clock at 8:01, thus still resolving the issue that you always want to look at the clock at 8:02 because it was actually only 8:01 when the urge originally arose.

You are right about the clock in your body. Help me if I am wrong but I belive it is called the circadium rythem. It is an enternal clock that guides your body. That clock is off when you have jet lag.
It could also just be a sulf fufilling prophecy. the first time or two random, then you start to think about it and fixate on it.

Maybe you are looking at the clock at a certain time because you do something else at that time that causes you to look at the clock. examples. getting of work, watching tv, walking by the clock.

I know what you mean. It seems to me I look at the clock at 12:34 could be am or pm. I don't know why it happens... but it does. One of those strange things in life.
