What you do is the following:
1) Make sure your iPod is connected to your computer.
2) Then, open ITunes, go to the iPod, and start copying either manually or automatically.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

When you do into iTunes, there is a selection on the left that's YOUR iPod...with your iPod attached to your PC. You check the ones in the library that you want copied...and "drag" them to YOUR iPod...(You named it...so I can't tell you what you called it.).
Just make sure you never just unplug your IPod. There's a little arrow next to YOUR iPod when it's connect...hit that..it's the EJECT and THEN you disconnect it from the PC.
Have fun.

plug your ipod into the computer.
Turn on iTunes.
You will see an ipod prompt appear in the left column.
drag and drop whatever songs/playlists you want from the iTunes menu on the left to the ipod icon. They will copy to the iPod.
Eject. Listen. Enjoy.

hmm..i do not use itunes, i hit upon it bloated..and it leaves many unnecessary progs. operating on my equipment. ..i exploit copytrans manager. you could attempt if that works for you. (you do want ipod drivers besides the undeniable fact that. you should use copytrans motive force first, it downloads drivers for ipod) . later use the copytrans manager to move stuff from aspect to aspect.

plug your ipod to a USB port, itunes will detect it automatically. open your itunes. transfer all your songs to My Library, then highlight selected songs/videos and drag and drop to your ipod (or whatever name youve chosen for it). then update your ipod. thats it. btw, you need to install the disc and format your ipod to allow transfer.
