I think I first had a beer when I was 17. Remember getting drunk for the first time when 18 on gin mixed with lemon aid. Drank fairly heavily through my early and mid 20's and around age 28 put many limits to when and how much I would allow myself to drink. I am going on 38 now and over the last 10 years I have kept it pretty moderate. Usually drink maybe 18 beers a week on average. Never get drunk. I typically have an average of 4 drinks, 4 or 5 times a week. That's not bad considering that my work revolves around bars. I Don't drink at home; only socially and the times I choose to not drink at all, I really don't miss it. I'm thinking of stopping all together. I've done it before and it wasn't very hard.

unless you are well into your 20s, stay away from alcohol. and even then, stay away. if you are younger than your mid-20s, your brain has not fully developed. it is still growing. alcohol and any drugs damage your brain, especially during its growing years. if you want to be a smart as possible, then allow your brain to develop to its full potential unhindered by alcohol or drugs. also, alcohol is a poison that damages the internal organs and leads to dangerous and antisocial behavior.

When I was really young, probably 12 or something I tasted wine at my former babysitters graduation party. I thought it was punch because it was in a big bowl with fruit floating in it. I tasted it and thought "This punch sucks!".
