It's the same. This guy sees you as his girlfriend but he's scared to say girlfriend because that word triggers commitment issues in him. Just relax, he'll come around.

When he calls you his "woman" ... what he is really saying is that you are his "property". Whether he realizes it or not.
You need to take a good, close look at this guy (and others like him). If you do, I think you'll notice other indications that he doesn't really have a lot of respect for women ... he is more likely to just consider them "things" or "possessions".
Nothing drives me crazier than hearing some guy address his girlfriend/wife as "baby". That is a sure sign (to me) that he considers them as property to just have fun with.
Look for a guy who introduces you as his "girlfriend". That indicates respect and affection.
Good luck, honey ... I think you can do better than this guy!!

A woman is more like a lover than a girlfriend. I think girlfriends aren't exclusive and being a woman is like going steady. My hubby called me his woman before were married. Best wishes

Some guys thinks when they use the word girlfriend, they are committed. But, when they call you their woman, I would assume they are talking about girlfriend. Maybe you "man" just don't want to labels the woman he likes.

Well ya, that basically is the same thing, I mean if I say that, then I better be talking about my girlfriend. Unless he was just saying it to impress people. lIke if your really hot and its like a nice score to him, but he really don't want to commit. I don't know the way you make him seem, it make it sound like he more of a pimpin bachelor than a commiting boyfriend.

Yes if your gunna brand a girl "my woman" you need to accept the fact that she's your girlfriend.. the only difference in their meanings is that one is more chauvenistic.

I believe it is the same.
I called my girlfriend my 'lover'. Because I was too terrifed to call her my girlfriend 'cause I wasn't sure if it was okay with her. So, I don't know because you've confronted him about it.

In my opinion your not his anything. You're not his property!! You are your own woman!! But yes, I think that qualifies you as his girlfriend. If it is unclear, ask him about it.
