Different people believe in the existence of God for a variety of reasons.
There are those that while they believe God as the creator of the universe he isn't the father of Jesus, not in any religious sense anyway.
And there are those that aren't buying into any of it.
The existence of God and Jesus as the creators of all things, all universes, is a religions belief, a faith to which you choose either to/or not to, believe.
The closest thing to a fact is the existence of Jesus Christ. Few historians would dispute that.
That he probably died as a result of Crucifixion is accepted.
Both historical and religious professionals also accept that Jesus was a Jew, either a Rabbi or more likely a minor prophet, but certainly not the father of Christianity in the sense that he preached Christianity. It was his beliefs and preachings that some time later became the base of Christianity.
That, "Jesus died on the cross for our sins", could be described, with a few simple changed words, to be "Jesus died on the cross because of the sins of man", and would be an accurate statement .
Considering that politics's, greed, envy and suffering are sins and were also a combination of the causes of Jesus's having been Crucified. .

I believe it because I'm born again as a result of believing in the Lord. Its a pity that more don't believe it as there is still plenty of room in heaven as the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord.

Not me. I believe that religion was created by man to help explain the unexplainable, to set ethical standards, and to give comfort to to people dealing with their own death or the death of a loved one. Not to mention there are many religions that date back thousands and thousands of years before the concept of Christianity came about. Also, there is too much proof of evolution for me to believe that there is one true god that created everything in 7 days.

While I would certainly agree that God is real, I don't believe that Jesus came to "die for our sins". The reason he came was to demonstate that there is no reality in death. You can't make the demonstration without going through the experience.

I would like to believe that too, but there exists no evidences that the story about Josua/Jesus is true. On the other hand I have some faith in God, after all.

I dont believe that crap. If I was to believe that I would just worship Mithra since that is where the idea of dying on the cross for our sins came from
