Maybe. I am not a psychologist or doctor, but a relationship is better when you feel good about yourself.
Please have your doctor check your blood sugar and blood insulin levels. If you have low blood sugar, it affects your memory, ability to think clearly and thus, ability to succeed.
I know my own life was changed for the better when I got my low blood sugar condition under control.

I'm not sure exactly how you're effected, but since you posted this under mental health I'll assume you suffer from depression or some diagnosable mental health problem. In which case, I'd suggest you work on your mental health first. You can't have a healthy meaningful relationship with someone if you have issues you need to work on in therapy. Know yourself, love yourself- first. Then when you're ready for a relationship it will be a healthy and happy one.
Love cannot nor should it act as a diversion.

Life is like that. Happens to everyone some times.Dont lose hope.Take it one day at a time. This too shall pass believe in yourself.Be positive always.Share your sorrows with a friend. You live and learn and tomorrow will be another day , a better one for sure.love yourself first and fall in love when you are in better health mentally. The power of prayer is great and also meditation.TAKE CARE GOD BLESS U.

No psych experience, just common sense. If you go for love when your in that state of mind, you my be euphoric for a little while. In the end you'll be miserable and drag someone else down with you. Of course there are the normal problems involved with a relationship and things might get worse for you.

NO THAT IS THE WRONG WAY! Don't bring someone into your life because you are looking for a diversion. Find something out about yourself that you have always wanted to do but never have. Don't bring someone into your tornado of emotion.LOL

Sometime love leads you to direct suicide. Don't pin your hope on it. Go out and get some fresh air.

if you mean falling in love, no, that isnt true love, but if you hate life so much, serve others, doing things for others really makes you feel good inside.
