I mean think about it, nobody messes with the hindus, buddhists, etc.--only the Christians. Do you think that's because everyone knows that our God is the only true one so that's why they hate us--because they know the truth and are too afraid to admit it? I mean if everyone believed the hindu god was real or the buddhist god was real we would all be after them right? But everyone knows they aren't real so they don't need to worry about the hindu god, buddhist god, etc...only ours because He's real??

Do you think that people who disagree with me are only disagreeing because they are afraid to admit the truth?

Disagree all you want, but we all know why you're disagreeing.

dylanwalker--you can't tell someone to do something that you don't believe in yourself...if you don't believe in the Bible, then don't tell others to do what it says.

Oh dear...it seems you may have missed your medication.
As for hating, no. I dislike intensely, any person who cannot practise what they preach, regardless of their beliefs.
Are you *really* so egotistical to presume that someone would risk their immortality(for arguments sake, lets say immortality's a fact)out of spite? That the other religions *only* believe in their heart of hearts that theirs is the right one, *simply* because they are "afraid to admit" yours is the truth!?? You need a reality check, darlin'.
Could it also be to do with the fact that throughout history, christianity has taken pleasure in killing and torturing anyone who refused to 'believe'? Hmmm. I once knew a girl like that...she told me she would have me killed if I didn't date her again...ri-ight...(just in case you fail to spot the analogy, I *didn't* date her again)

You're a wonderful advert for circular logic...
A terrible one for christianity though...

If you're still not convinced of reality after all these posts, think of it like this: Yes. I hate you because you are right. I'm just too afraid of living forever in utter bliss and harmony... Now shut the F up and leave me to believe the facts that *obviously* come from the devil himself because they show me you are insane. Thanks.

No. Other people hate christians because they know:
a) their own god is the only real one
b) there are many gods
c) there is no god
and the christians go out of their way to argue with them and prove them wrong.
You have just as much proof you're right as everyone else from the opposite side. If christians left other believers alone (like Buddhists, Hindus... etc, do), others would leave christians alone, too.

Want a proof of that? Which religion started the most holy wars throughout the history? No, it wasn't that handful of muslim terrorists. Guess again.

Agreeing with Danielle 110% but also must add, Why would someone hate an idea if it was proven right? That makes no sense whatsoever.

I went to a Christian school and after a while of soul-searching and being logical... it didn't work for me, whatsoever. Now, all the friends I had made back then, who remain friends now understand that I don't dislike or distrust them.. just the religion itself. And quite honestly, during one of our assemblies this exact topic had come up. Our preacher had said at this point that Christianity was the only true thing out there and we were all a step above all others for knowing the truth and we should spread the word...blah blah blah.. this was one major turning point for me as it is placing this semi-elite group of people above all others, which is UNgodly.

So no, to answer your question, "knowing" your god is the true one is not why I feel SOME Christians are hated. If you are running around trying to pry into the lives of others who don't want to hear of it for their own reasons... you are going to make enemies. I'm sure you, personally, wouldn't want to have a homosexual (clashing with your beliefs) telling you nonstop what they do is right and here is why... you make yourself an oddball when you put yourself above ALL others who do not believe what you do.

No, definitely not. First off I don't hate Christians, I hate fundamentalism. If more Christians spent more time trying to live like Christ and less time worrying about evolution and buggery then the world would be a better place. As far as why I don't concern myself with Buddhists and Hindus... When was the last time one of them knocked on my door and asked me to convert to their religion? The rest of the answer is that Christians do a good enough job of persecuting everyone else.

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

10. Jesus existed earlier he became human as he stated. (John 8:fifty 8, John 17:5) 9. genuinely he became very sparkling. 8. no individual has considered the daddy. 7. sure it became. study both Jewish and Roman elements to work out that. The trinity became even spoke about contained in the first century in letters between Christians. 6. because he became human. He gave us his divine powers to do the favor of the daddy. 5. As a human, yet he stated even as he leaves his glory will be restored and it really is the reason the e book of revelations became printed. 4. No he would not. 3. sure. 2. He hasn't. a million. Jesus is God. Do you imagine God controls the universe ordinary? Regardless the daddy would have nevertheless finished it yet he set each little thing in action so his divine intervention would not be needed. The human body of Jesus died. His spirit might want to no longer die. God won't be able to easily forgive our sins because he's a God of justice. each sin might want to be paid for and if he purely forgave each individual then he would not be a god of justice. He will be corrupt. Jesus willingly gave himself up for sins. by him each individual would properly be forgiven. this is no longer a free the front into heaven, you would possibly want to settle for Jesus and stick to his teachings or he will reject you. The old testomony backs up each little thing Jesus did and the actual incontrovertible reality that the Messiah became think to be the son of God. The Jews did not comprehend their scriptures and Jesus pointed that out to them.

achtung_heiss -

Do you realise that you cut and paste the same answer for pretty much all of your answers!

And to answer the question - those at the top often receive criticism which is why much is aimed at Christian denominations that are bonafide Christian religions and not cults. The fact that Baptists, Catholics and other recognised Christian groups come under criticism sometimes shows that they are doing something right especially when criticised by so called cults that believe they are true instead.

No, no, you've got it all wrong. People hate Christians because you people just don't know when to shut the **** up. If, maybe, just maybe, people like you wouldn't try to force the whole world to conform to your narrow views, then people might treat Christians differently.

Whatever happened to Love Thy Neighbor? Huh???

What happened to not bearing false witness? Hmmmmmm?

What happened to not casting the first stone, unless you are without sin? That's a brain tickler huh?

Get a ******* life and get real.

___
I am pointing out your BLATANT hypocrisy, and I have every right to do so. Why? Because if you were a true follower of Christ then you wouldn't be such a hateful little jerk.

No...Christians are the only ones on here telling me I am wrong and going to hell because I don't believe the same thing they do. That is why I dislike some Christians. I do not hate anyone and not all Christians are the same.

no, people respond to the arrogance of questions like this. as for God he's relatively new only been around a couple of thousand years. many Gods came before him, but i will say more people have been killed/maimed in his name than any other. why is it that christians don't read.practice their own bible. you are supposed to love everyone, to be a beacon of light shining so brightly that others are drawn to you . i suggest you read madeline l'engle (a christian author!!) her works might just help you see the light...............peace
